Twin Cities Information

Things to do and see during your visit...

For many of you, this may be your first opportunity to visit our lovely Twin Cities of Minneapolis/St. Paul. The following links will help you find art, sports, and shopping activities to enjoy.

The Marquette Hotel and Windows on Minnesota are in the heart of downtown Minneapolis. The buildings are connected via a shopping area in the IDS Atrium. An integral part of this atrium is the Minneapolis Skyway System. The system links many of Downtown Minneapolis' important buildings, financial centers, cultural buildings, restaurants, other hotels and a host of entertainment nightspots. The Skyway is designed for comfortable convenient walking in any weather day or evening.

Twin Cities Citysearch provides a nice place to find out about restaurants and events in the area.

Dubbed the "Official site of Minneapolis tourism," this site features maps and information about Minneapolis -- directly from the Visitor's Association. One of the most useful features of this site is a great interactive map!

If shopping is your fancy, the Twin Cities plays host to the largest mall in the US, The Mall Of America. This huge, entirely indoor shopping complex and theme park is just a short drive from our hotel. If you are shy about driving in a strange town, Minneapolis boasts a remarkably clean, efficient and safe mass transportation system. An 'Express Bus" runs from a stop directly across the street from our hotel (right in front of Marshall Field's) on Nicollet Mall to the Mall Of America for extended hours.

To give you a feel of the beauty of the Minneapolis, this site takes you on a Phototour of Minneapolis.
